JM: Tell us about the pre-sentencing process:
edward: you sit inside your cell or block until it is
your time to go before the court
Joe: this can take days to months depending on your
case. i made bail in all my cases and then spent
months going to court. but if you get arrested
and go to court and just plead guilty then you
can be sentenced and released within 2 weeks
depending on the case
JM: Did you have police stop by your house for questioning?
edward: no i had warrants for traffic fines
Joe: no i mainly just have dui charges
JM: What was your court appearance like?
edward: pretty quick process although i thought the judge
was rather harsh on me and the others going
before him
Joe: spent a long time in court many times. the
courts just want money out of us it seems.
